You should never be worrying about what’s going on behind the scenes, and that includes your card balance. So, you might have noticed a change in our pre-authorization amounts.

What’s Changing?

OG IONNA customers will remember our first few months of operations included a $75 pre-authorization hold. And the feedback was…swift. The amount was too high.

So we dropped to $50. And while it was a step in the right direction, we weren’t quite there yet.

So 3rd time’s a charm! The new pre-authorization amount is officially $30, so less of your balance gets tied up while you’re charging.

What It Means for You

• Less of your balance on hold – Your money stays available for road trip snacks, coffee, or whatever else fuels your journey.
• Simpler sessions – Start charging, pay with ease, and keep moving. Fewer headaches for drivers with bigger EV “tanks”, no more sessions cutting off at $50.
