A public EV charging station can deliver plenty of power and still fall short as a convenient, well-equipped place to pull over. Drivers deserve charging locations that fit naturally into their trips, with the essentials close enough to use while their vehicle charges.
As we build our nationwide network, the IONNA team continues to place a significant emphasis on site selection. We look beyond where a charger can physically go and consider what drivers will experience once they arrive. Let’s take a look at how we make those decisions, and why they matter.

An EV charging stop is often just one part of a driver’s trip. Whether you are commuting home after a long day and need to pick up dinner, or you are halfway through a family road trip, and everyone could use a stretch, or you’re alone on a late-night drive and want a bright, welcoming place to stop. The right location can make all the difference in your trip and in your day.

Anyone who has ever stopped during a road trip knows that “nearby” amenities can be hit-or-miss when you’re on foot waiting for your battery to charge. A store may be within walking distance if you consider a mile to be close.
